About the Role

We are a startup seeking a talented, motivated associate designer with experience producing high-quality design assets for a variety of use cases across web and mobile platforms. In this part-time, fully remote position, you will work closely with our product & design and development teams to design new features and improve existing functionality to expand and enhance our product.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the senior designer to build prototypes and deliver design assets that meet modern web and app platform standards
  • Have a passion for keeping current with fast-changing UI/UX design standards and technologies
  • Collaborate on a cross-functional, agile team to define, design, and deliver features
  • Demonstrate good communication skills, including clear and appropriate documentation
  • Be resourceful, dependable, and self motivated
  • Act as a point of contact for the developer team to create and clarify designs during all stages of the product development cycle
  • Maintain a design library of reusable components
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of digital product experience or demonstrable academic equivalent; ideally you have created designs to support multiple product deliveries
  • Experience with asset management and design systems
  • An eye for detail, typography and solid graphic design skills
  • Demonstrated skill with visual, interface, and interaction design
  • Fluency with both mobile and responsive web design principles and best practices
  • Demonstrated success in a remote working environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others on a cross-functional team environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
