Explore Page Customization
About the Explore Page
The Explore page is the front door into any community, and is highly customizable to create a unique experience for each campus or organization. The Explore page can be updated to be reflective of the most timely happenings within the community.
The Explore page can be customized using combinations of many “sections,” including dynamic sections that provide automatic updates and changing content.
Section Options
To customize an Explore page, select from a combination of the following sections:
Raft Spotlight
A Raft Spotlight section appears at the top of the Explore page, highlighting the members, content and channels of a single specific raft. The Raft Spotlight is a great option for highlighting a core raft and important content, and can be collapsed by users or expanding to view full content. Only one Raft Spotlight may appear on any Explore page.
Events
Manually Selected Events
Select a list of specific events to appear within a section; not dynamic.
Upcoming Events
All events sorted in chronological order by event time from all public rafts; dynamic.
Trending Events
Events sorted from all public rafts, sorted and displayed by trending / hot (those with the most engagement from user); dynamic.
Events from a Specific Raft / Multiple Rafts
Events from one or more specific rafts; dynamic.
Users / People Display
Manually Selected Users
Highlight specific users (i.e., staff, student leaders) in a section on Explore; not dynamic.
All Users
All users from within he community, displayed in random order; dynamic.
New Users
All users, shown in order of most recent to join; dynamic.
Trending Users
All users, shown in order of most active; dynamic.
Classmates
All users with the same class year as the viewing user; dynamic.
Specific Class
All users with a specific class year, i.e, Class of 2024; dynamic.
Posts & Polls
Manually Selected Posts
Select a list of specific post to appear within a section; not dynamic.
Latest News
All posts from a News raft, sorted by most recently published; dynamic.
Post from a Specific Raft / Multiple Rafts
Posts from one or more specific rafts; dynamic.
Trending Posts
Posts sorted from all public rafts, sorted and displayed by trending / hot (those with the most engagement from users); dynamic.
Poll Spotlight
Manually selected list of polls; not dynamic.
All Open Polls
List of all open polls on public rafts, ordered by those ending soonest; dynamic.
Rafts
Manually Selected Rafts
Select a list of specific raft to appear within a section; not dynamic.
New Rafts
All rafts sorted by most recently created; dynamic.
Rafts Not Yet Joined
All rafts the viewing user has not yet joined, sorted by member count; dynamic.
Trending Rafts
All rafts, sorted and displayed by trending / hot (those with the most engagement from users); dynamic.
My Rafts
All rafts that the view user is a member of; dynamic.
